Our medical weight loss program can be done primarily through virtual visits after the initial period. It is for people with a BMI greater than 24. We use a combination pharmacological therapy. For virtual visits you must have a digital blood pressure monitor and a digital scale.
Medical weight loss is weight loss supervised by a medical provider with pharmacological support as needed. Much to our disappointment there are NO easy methods for weight loss! However, carrying extra pounds is like packing a Thanksgiving turkey or two around with you all the time. Extra weight is more than just not feeling good about your appearance, it's really about what is going on inside your body. Ravages of inflammation and altered brain chemicals from feeling down on yourself along with excess weight accelerates aging inside your body. Many of the chronic diseases can be attributed to what we put in our mouth. Extra weight adds extra stress on the joints, causes chronic inflammation, hormone imbalance, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and a myriad of other health issues that result in a shorter lifespan.

One aspect of weight loss to consider with diet plans or weight loss programs is how sustainable is the plan? Weight loss must be a lifelong commitment to change your way of being. A paradigm shift!
