JIK

Just in case your wondering from the previous post... Of the hormones used in beef cattle implants (pellets), three are naturally occurring (estradiol, progesterone and testosterone) and two are synthetics (zeranol and trenbolone acetate). Estradiol, progesterone and zeranol are estrogenic, whereas testosterone and trenbolone acetate are androgenic. Estrogenic refers to hormones affecting female characteristics and androgenic refers to hormones affecting male characteristics. Zeranol mimics estradiol and trenbolone acetate mimics testosterone. Implants work by increasing circulating levels of somatotropin and insulin-like growth-factor 1. This causes an increase in the secretion of growth hormone, which increases muscle growth. The type of hormone pellet depends on the age of the animal. There are formulations used for nursing calves on up to cattle entering the feedlot. Cattle entering the feedlot are densely housed and eat all the time to quickly gain weight prior to slaughter. And yes we eat the hormonalized meat (if we eat beef). There are similar practices with pork and chicken as well.

Jolene Culver ARNP, mother, grandmother, daughter and definitely menopausal. I love my pellets! As a matter of fact that is what inspired me to do hormone therapy. I'm NOT going down without a fight. My goal for myself and all of my family of patients is for optimal health and to feel the best that we can and look the best that we can. Defy gravity with Botox, fillers and PRP!
